A trained hospital chaplain, Melissa loves learning about life and people. As an adjunct college instructor and volunteer police chaplain, she has many opportunities to do so.

Melissa has written the latest edition of the Everything Guide to Stress Management for Adams Media. She offers meditation and stress reduction programming as well as spiritual direction and retreats for individuals and groups in various settings.

Melissa has an extensive collection of prayers available at Suite101 for holidays, healing, and many other life events. Melissa has contributed to the anthology Prayers for the Night, compiled by Dorothy Stewart for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, UK. Melissa also writes custom prayers for individuals and groups upon request.
